Chen-style Taiji Push-hand

While practicing, the exerciser should comply with some basic Taiji principles such as sticking to each other without being separated, moving freely and flexibly, neither separating nor making forcible contact, rotating the body smoothly, making good use of the skill rather than only the force and staying clear of the opponent main force and striking at his weak points. Combining the basic techniques of grasp, catch, kick, jackknife and punch, the exercisers practice warding off, deflecting, pushing, pressing trampling, throwing, elbowing and leaning to obtain a sensitivity of knowing the enemy intention in advance and making quick decision of how and where to attack or defend.

Ma Hong - Chen Style Taijiquan Hand-to-hand Combat Techniques (Part 1 of 10)

about Chen style Taijiquan(Tai Chi Chuan) and Ma Hong:
Chen style tai chi chuan
The Chen family style is the oldest and parent form of the five main tai chi chuan styles. It is third in terms of worldwide popularity compared to the other main taijiquan styles. Chen style is characterized by its lower stances, more explicit Silk reeling (chan si jin) and bursts of power (fa jin).
Today tai chi chuan is typically practised for a number of widely varying reasons: health, external/internal martial art skills, aesthetics, meditation, athletic/competition sport (sometimes called "wushu tai chi"). Therefore a teacher's system, practise and choice of tai chi chuan routines usually emphasises one of these characteristics. The five traditional family styles tend to retain the original martial applicability of tai chi teaching methods. Some argue that Chen style schools succeed in this to a greater degree.
Chen Wangting created Chen style Tai Chi Chuan
Chen style Tai Chi Chuan originated from the late Ming Dynasty of China (about 400 years ago), a villager of Chenjiagou village, created a new kind of Chinese boxing based on the integration of the ancestral boxing, the essence of the excellent folk boxing types and the Chinese medicine meridians,
so it is called

Ji Hong Tai Chi College - Luo Hong-Yuan - Chen Style Taijiquan, First Form

Content:
The series of two instructional discs introduces the eighty-three movements of the Chen Style Taijiquan First Form. Chen Style Taiji stresses the martial arts aspects, and emphasizes the correct ballance between hard and soft, Yin and Yang. Movements interchange between fast and slow, from an eaven and steady pace to powerful punches and kicks. This makes it challenging for both the instructor and the student.
Master Luo's impressive background in teaching makes it easy to follow the movements of the entire set. It is a rarity among Taiji DVDs.

Ma Hong - Chen Style Tai Chi The Secret of Jin Release (2009)

This is a Kung Fu training video on Tai Chi lectured by famous master Ma Hong.
Ma Hong was the inner door student of Chen Zhao Kui, son of Chen Fa Ke. He started with Chen in 1972 after already having studied for ten years. He was soon delving deeper into the intricacies of Chen style. His concentrated efforts not only bore fruit in his performance but also set a standard of teaching and understanding which has become synonymous with the man himself. His explanations are direct and refreshingly clear. He has the aplumb of the instructor who "tells you like it is" without wavering. It's up to you to decide whether or not you find it useful.
Brief description of the product
Ma Hong has released another work to further elucidate and complement his earlier works, namely Routine I 83 Postures (I-III) and Routine II 71 Postures. In this series, the emphasis is on how to develop the release of the inner force, aka Fa Jin, while going through some of the movements in those earlier 2 works. It is well-known that Fa Jin is an important part of all Chinese martial arts; without being able to overcome the opponents' strength or to exert your explosive inner force effectively, all martial arts merely become an elaborate display of movements and are ineffective in any practical application. Note that DVDs 1-6 are based on the Routine I 83 Postures (I-III) and DVDs 7-8 are based on Routine II 71 Postures.
The following extract is taken from http://www.taichiaustralia.com/Master_ma_hong_and_the_chen_s...
Master Ma Hong and the Chen style Tai Chi
Introduction
Master Ma Hong, one of the most famous Tai Chi master in China, is the nineteenth generation of the Chen style Tai Chi. His teacher was Chen Dao Kuei, son of Chen Fah Ke (the seventeenth generation). Master Ma Hong believes the Chen style taught by his teacher, Chen Dao Kuei, just the right combination of hardness and softness and he said, according to Tai Chi Yin Yang, Tai Chi must be hard and soft; fast and slow; insubstantial and substantial; open and close. And also it must have Yi, Qi, Li (spirit, breath, strength) and all of these must be combined together in Tai Chi. Master Ma Hong also addressed the relationship between close and open whilst doing Tai Chi. He said entirely open is not good, and entirely closed is not good either. In addition to benefiting health, His teacher Chen Dao Kuei taught him not only each posture, but broke down the function, the martial use of each posture because Tai Chi also has its martial worth. I was following Master Ma Hong to learn Tai Chi for a few years, here I am going to summarise several features of the Chen style taught by my teacher and to discuss with other practitioners.
Hardness and Softness
Tai Chi is a martial art rather than a sort of soft exercise, so the most important aspect in the Chen style Tai Chi is hardness and softness in close succession. For instance, a certain movement may look soft, but there is still force in it, such as Form 3

Su Dong Chen - Essence of Attacking - Bible of Kungfu (Martial Arts & Exercise)

Chang Chun Feng, from 1920 to 1948 he lived in the city of Tianjin and studied:
-)--- Gao style Bagua Zhang with the founder of the style of Gao Yisheng
-)--- Do Tai Chi Chuan (Hao) at school Veychzhenya Hao Ho
-)--- the direction of Xingyi Quan, and Lea hebeyskomu Cuni, and his son Li Bin Tanya (Li Bin Tang)
Su Dong Chen (half Chinese, half Japanese) - one of the best students, Hong Yi Xiang and, uniquely, his best fighter. In 16 years, Su Dong Chen took second place in all championship fights Leitao Taiwan (full contact with throws and low limits), in 17 years, took first place. At age 20, won first place at the Open Championship in full contact combat in Taiwan (in addition to Taiwan, it was attended by people from Hong Kong and Southeast Asia).
Chang Chun Feng eventually became president of the Association of Martial Arts in Tianjin. In 1948, Chang Chun Feng went to Taiwan (fled the Communists), and opened a bee school, where he taught the three internal styles. One of the three best students of Chan Chung Yee Hong Xiang was fen (Hong Yixiang and Hung I-Hsiang) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hung_I-Hsiang). Hon Yi Xiang is considered the best of Xingyi Quan.
Su Dong Chen has won numerous battles and street fights (mainly in Taiwan and Japan), according to some sources, the number of fighting to 300. The Japanese book Kenka no tetujin (iron men street fighting), Su Dong Chen separate chapter. In addition, he devoted a chapter in another book of fierce fighting Japanese (Biographies by Keisuke Itagaki Fighting experts - biographies to fight against the masters). The fact that the Japanese, with their disdain for the Chinese and Chinese-style, so to say about Su Tung-Oak, speaks for itself.
An interesting touch to the portrait of Su Dong Chen - at a seminar he was asked about the fight with knives. In response, he drew his knife and cut his own arm. Demonstrate the bleeding arm assembled, he said, ''Are you ready for this If not, do not ask me about the knife fight. ''
Su Dong Chen lives and teaches in Japan, in connection with these training videos to come out mostly in Japanese. Su Dong Chen teaches all three internal styles, as well as promoting our own system in Europe and the United States, it is known as the essence of evolution, as NAIKAKEN Japan (Japanese reading neytszya Quan, c that is to say the ''interior style'').
The distribution of two films very rare (it is now buying simply unrealistic, and the second in all but Japan and not sold anywhere else). I ran two years I was a video of Su Dong Chen. Is it useful You decide.
Especially recommend the site of Su Dong Chen, if you know English - you will find lots of interesting things about the internal styles and their use in combat (I guess he unloaded -. 500 Mb for a consultation outside line)

Chen Style Tai Chi and Its Fighting Applications series 10 VCD by Ma Hong (2002)

It's up to you to decide whether or not you find it useful.Screenshot:

Ma Hong - Chen Style Taijiquan Hand-to-hand Combat Techniques (Part 2 of 10)

about Chen style Taijiquan(Tai Chi Chuan) and Ma Hong:
Chen style Tai Chi Chuan originated from the late Ming Dynasty of China (about 400 years ago), a villager of Chenjiagou village, created a new kind of Chinese boxing based on the integration of the ancestral boxing, the essence of the excellent folk boxing types and the Chinese medicine meridians,
so it is called -Tai Chi Chuan-. The theory of Tai Chi Chuan evolved from the classical works of the Chinese traditional philosophy, leechcraft, Wushu, such as the Book of Changes, Huang Di Nei Jing
and so on, and absorbed the proper contents of the Daoism, Confucianism and so on during its long
time development, so Tai Chi Chuan is called as -the Quintessence of the Chinese Culture-. Tai Chi Chuan is a kind of martial art to make people strong and healthy; it is not used to attack people. The actions of the Tai Chi Chuan are gentle, slow, coherent and flexible, and it can dredge the main and collateral channels, regulate Qi and blood, nourish the viscera and strengthen muscle and bones. Nowadays, Tai Chi Chuan has become one kind of sports especially for old people.
Chen Fa ke
?
In the late 1920s Chen Fa ke (1887-1957) and his nephew broke with Chen family tradition and began openly teaching Chen style - providing public classes in Beijing for many years. Chen Fa ke's influence was so great
that a powerful Beijing Chen style tradition survived his death; it was centred around his "New frame" variant of Chen Village "Old frame." His legacy spread throughout China by the efforts of his senior students.
This style (First Routine: 83 forms)was first seen practiced by Chen Fa ke in his later years (1950s) in Beijing,
and many regard him as the author of the style. Credit for actual public teaching/spread of these two new
routines probably goes to his senior students (especially his son, Chen Zhao kui).
Chen Zhaokui
When Chen Zhao kui returned to Chen Village (to assist and then succeed Chen Zhao Pei) to train today's
generation of Masters (e.g. the "Four Buddhas") he taught Chen Fake's, unknown adaptation of old frame.
Zhu Tian Cai recalls, as a young man at the time, they all started calling it "xin jia" (new frame) because it was
adapted from classic old frame.
Chen style Tai Chi Chuan (First Routine: 83 forms and Second Routine: 71 Forms) was first taught by Chen
Zhao kui. Latter on, his student, Ma Hong popularized this style and has been teaching the style in all around
China.
Ma Hong teaches this system movement-by-movement in great details, especially for the applications.
He explains the applications in accord to the forms. Students will understand and improve the knowledge of the
movements according to forms precisely.
This routine reflects richly the unique features of Chen style Tai Chi Chuan: movements are well organized and
created, combination of softness and hardness, powerful and relaxed force, technique of joint-locking and free
fighting together.People are required to practice this routine with low posture and keeping the body straight.
Also, there is emphasis on the attack of the enemy and neutralize the attack according the principle of Yin-Yang.
This is why this style is very suitable to young people.
Ma Hong (1927 -), born in Hebei Shenzhou, learned Chen style Taijiquan from Tai Chi master Chen Zhao Kui. He is currently chairman of Chen-style Taijiquan Research Association,Deputy Secretary-General of Henan Wenxian International Taijiquan Annual Meeting Organizing Committee. In 1994 Ma Hong was awarded the annual 13 contemporary Chinese Tai Chi masters by the International Jury.
